Parent comments about Wendell Park School:

A wonderfully inclusive school. My children highly recommend it.

Wendell Park Primary is a great community school. Its children are fantastically diverse and its staff are wonderfully enthusiastic. We are very proud to be parents of the school.

Our daughter is happy and thriving at Wendell Park. We are really impressed by how quickly she is learning and developing, and also by all the exciting extra-curricular activities. Last week she was handling a python in class!

Wendell Park has an exceptional PTA group – come and get involved!

Wendell Park is a great school. Our daughter is learning, has lots of friends and is happy at the start and end of the school day. What more could you want?!

Learning Powers

At Wendell Park we are committed to developing lifelong learners who are excited by the prospect of learning something new.

Our world is for ever changing. The children of tomorrow will be expected to adapt frequently to changes in their personal lives and in the world of work. It is predicted that many of the jobs that will be available for future generations do not even exist yet.

In light of this, children need to develop the right attitudes and skills to manage change and thrive. To assist children with this development we have created The Wendell Learning Powers:

  • Rise to a challenge
  • Ask questions
  • Learn from mistakes
  • Never give up
  • Collaborate
  • Concentrate
  • Build  imagination
  • Enjoy learning

Based on the work of Professor Guy Claxton and the idea that we are all capable of becoming better learners

We want children to develop the Wendell Learning Powers in order for them to be effective learners who are able rise to challenges, learn from mistakes and work collaboratively with others. Wendell Park wants children to continually learn, develop and succeed.
